If you find yourself in Girona, with a hankering for a brilliant cocktail, then make your way immediately to Nykteri’s. On a quiet street in the old town, this little bar is easy to miss, but very much worth a trip. 
When NN and I visited, we were overwhelmed by the vast cocktail list, featuring lots of classics and lots we had never heard of before. These new cocktails are the work of owner and master mixologist, Mariona Vilanova, who patiently took us through the list, asked about likes and dislikes and then, on each occasion, offered the perfect drink for each of us.

Every drink is clearly made with real care and passion. Between us, we had the Nykteri, a Cosmo, which was on another level to any I have ever tasted, the Burlesque and an Appletini.
Highly recommended but beware they are very strong!
